Effects, TVR, MVR and the circulation load
Separate the heat-recovery decision from the hydraulic demand of the liquid circuit.
01Specify the evaporation arrangement
A multi-effect train reuses vapour heat across pressure levels. The number of effects must fit the temperature budget, product boiling-point elevation, heat-transfer performance and required concentration path. It is not an independent promise of economy.
02Specify the recompression option
TVR uses motive steam; MVR uses an electrically driven compressor or fan. These options can be evaluated with different effect arrangements. Define vapour condition, required pressure rise, start-up heat and residual condensation before comparing them.
03Account for the circulation pump
The pump has its own flow, pressure rise and efficiency. Its shaft demand is additional to a thermal evaporator balance. Motor and drive losses, vacuum equipment and other auxiliaries belong in the plant electrical assessment.
04Compare annual operation
Separate steady production from start-up, changeover, cleaning and maintenance. Apply site tariffs only after utility quantities are defined. Report the operating schedule and measurement boundary; this website makes no fixed savings guarantee.
